Greek Born, Roman Loved. (Reyna x Reader.)
When (Y/n) found herself staring down at the valley of Camp Half-Blood a rare smile graced her lips. Artemis was riding her chariot high in the sky, or perhaps it was on autopilot, one could not tell especially if the Olympian party was still happening. Yet (Y/n) found she could not argue with Artemis’ decision if she was in fact not attending her duties personally. It was not every day that a rag tag bunch of demigods defeated the armies of the Titan King, Kronos. So many had sacrificed themselves for this achievement, and in her own way (Y/n) had detached herself from all the festivities to honour them this way.Licking her lips as the daughter of war lifted a goblet to her lips, the slight burning taste of liquor a welcome sensation as it doused her tongue. With a sigh (Y/n) relaxed on her picnic blanket, watching with contempt as the shadows of the survivors danced between bonfires. Even from Thalia’s tree, (Y/n) could hear the music of the Apollo cabin accompanied by the Satyrs and Dryads. Looking to the stars, (Y/n) found herself staring at the constellation of the Huntress, who was actually her great friend Zoë Nightshade. The Russian demigod’s smile turned sombre in remembrance of the loss of her friend. Nibbling the inside of her cheek, (Y/n) brushed strands of her long hair around her ear. A cool breeze drifted through the shaved portion on the other side of (Y/N)’s head. The braids that ran down the middle of her head past her shoulders, over a layer of hair drifted slightly in the breeze.Once more raising the goblet to her lips, (Y/n)’s blazingly intimidating eyes that resembled heated bronze, focused on the power couple of the century that had finally gotten together. Who knew a son of Poseidon and daughter of Zeus could work so well together. Thalia was laughing with Percy in her arms as the son of the sea god told what was probably some terribly cheesy joke. Smiling for her friends, that had become so close that (Y/n) would call them both her sister and brother, respectively, however there was a pang in (Y/n)’s heart. Remembering the kiss, she had shared with Thalia the year previous, but she pushed it away. She was happy that Thalia was with who she wanted to be with. Her mind began drifting, as (Y/n) set her goblet to the side. Leaning back and resting her hands underneath her head, (Y/n) found herself succumbing to the sensation that was a trip down memory lane.A seventeen-year-old woman, wielding a dangerously savage looking bronze axe was always going to be at least somewhat intimidating. And most of the time, (Y/n) forgot this simple fact. So honestly it surprised her that all the children of Deimos even the frightening daughter of the terror god, Clarisse La-Rue, stopped punishing the new camper with a one-way ticket to swirly town when she came bellowing. “What is coming on!” her thick, Russian accent seemed to deter many campers, even when the obviously well-muscled woman was not shouting. The daughter of Deimos relented in her torment of the newbie, releasing his head from the toilet with a scoff and the excuse of ‘just playing around’. A scowl from the daughter of an Olympian sent them scurrying away. The boy, now a coughing fit on the toilet block floor, spluttered out his thanks. Looking over the kid who could not be older than twelve, (Y/n) found she was not impressed. No evidence of muscle on the lean body, shaggy and unruly hair represented a certain lack of hygiene and newbies were hardly ever taught of their heritage. “What’s your name kid?” (Y/n) asked, her voice even and she tried hard to display an American accent that Chiron was helping her learn. She reached a hand down to help the kid up, who eyed it suspiciously before accepting and standing to his feet.“Perseus… Jackson… Percy Jackson… Well my real name is Perseus but that sounds stupid so I go by Percy.” He spoke curiously, looking up at the older woman whose scowl turned into a small semblance of a smile.“Nice to meet you Perseus, my name is (Y/n)… I’ll be your sword training instructor, I’ll make sure you don’t stab yourself.”Seven days passed since Perseus was claimed as Poseidon’s newest child. And it seemed, that despite the fact he was the son of a sea god, the raven-haired male was still strung up on something else. Even the conversation he was having with (Y/n) was on the subject. “So you’re telling me. Kratos is an actual factual mythological person and not just some video game character?” Percy asked as he tried the feinting motions Luke had taught him. (Y/n) of coursed scoffed, having taught the same moves to Hermes’ son some time ago.“Yes, Perseus.” Her voice was like steel as she parried Riptide with her own sword, the weapon she normally chose, a bronze axe, rested against the wall near (Y/n)’s gym bag. “You should pay attention to Malcom and Annabeth’s lessons… Ares angered my father, who pleaded Zeus who was his father, for the rite to kill Ares. Once granted after several gruelling tasks, Kratos killed Ares and assumed the position of God of War, cunning action, ferocity and redemption.” (Y/n)’s lecture was finished with a side step to Perseus’ attack in which she also cracked the butt of her training sword against the back of Percy’s neck making the boy stumble over himself.Of course (Y/n) was not surprised she was picked by Percy for the quest alongside Annabeth to retrieve the master bolt of her grandfather. Especially since Satyrs were not permitted to go under camp rules. Of course, that did not stop (Y/n)’s feelings of pride as she drove the two younger demigods away from ‘Auntie Em’s garden emporium’ with Percy just having killed its sole owner. Looking in the rear-view mirror, she saw Percy and Annabeth tilting their heads towards each other in their sleep. “Adorable” The first and only child of Kratos spoke to herself. The next challenge came with Heracles asking the trio to retrieve his club from a nearby waterpark. And even (Y/n), the usual stoic Russian woman who could match her father in a glaring contest, managed to laugh at the sight of Annabeth and Percy flying through the air before she caught them both using the winged sandals gifted to them by Luke.It was when (Y/n) fought Heracles on the beach that Percy and Annabeth saw first-hand how deadly the daughter of Kratos could be. Her axe flew through the air faster than Zeus’ bolt. Their fight lasted only a few moments before (Y/n) managed a devastating slash to the god’s shoulder. In a rage the demigod was hastily picked up by Heracles and thrown across the beach creating a crater trench similar to a meteorite crash site. “We will meet again disgusting demigod, and the outcome will be much different.” Heracles roared in a rage before flashing away.Seeing her father for the first real time was something else. And (Y/n) expected that the same thoughts were in the minds of Annabeth and Percy as the trio displayed the Master Bolt of Zeus before the Olympian council. Percy, as leader of the quest, told the gods about Heracles’ treachery and Luke’s deception. Kratos was everything the video games designed him to be like. And despite the archaeological and classical theorizing world being divided if Kratos had in fact taken Ares’ mantle, here he was seated in a throne of obsidian black and volcanic ash. His body white as skeleton bone. (Y/n) knew why, everyone did. His skin permanently scarred by Ares with the ashes of his mortal wife and child from when Kratos had merely been the mortal son of Zeus. The red mark of the Spartan seemed to shine however, and (Y/n) found her eyes locking into those heated bronze coloured eyes of her father. Yet he spoke no words to her, his only recognition being a stare… one that (Y/n) knew well. One that said; “Do, better.”Even as the summer after came around, (Y/n) knew that the son of Poseidon was special, even when compared to his past siblings. And now he had a half-brother in a cyclops. It was almost laughable really, when (Y/n) had heard from Percy himself the tale of himself and Tyson at school, including what Annabeth described as ‘Canadians’. Of course, then she had to explain to Percy the bad news about Chiron’s exile and replacement. Although the chariot races were back, and that seemed to get Percy’s attention. He did after all, really love horses… Probably because of his father. But with Selina in her chariot to drive and (Y/n) to defend and attack, the pair were an unstoppable duo. Even if Clarisse and Chris were a close second. Then of course, there was the whole debate over a quest for the golden fleece. So (Y/n) was chosen, and she then picked Selina and surprisingly Clarisse. But (Y/n) knew. She knew that Clarisse needed this, needed a big enough quest to stop acting like an immature bully. And at the very least, start acting like a mature bully. And so, after speaking with a terribly in need of skin cream mummy, (Y/n) set off with Clarisse and Selina using a ship the Hephaestus cabin had built for mock sea battles as well a crew a gift from (Y/n)’s brothers, Deimos and Phobos, the twin god sons of Kratos. To say that (Y/n) was upset to see Annabeth and Percy after exploding the body of a Hydra with a canon, was akin to stating that a hurricane was a mild rain drizzle. “What are you two doing here?” it was not a shout, in fact there was no outward expression that resembled anger or even mild annoyance. And that was what scared the younger demigods, even the daughter of the embodiment of terror.“It’s Grover. Poly… Polyfe…” Percy tried to say something but with a desperate jump in, Annabeth finished the statement for him.“Grover is being held prisoner by Polyphemus, who also happens to have the Golden Fleece.” At this, Selina stepped over to (Y/n) and grasped the older woman’s forearm lightly. “Maybe we should let them tag along?” With a sigh, (Y/N) nodded.“Clarisse, find Jackson and Chase a bunk, then steer us forward, a goat needs saving.”Of course, the ship’s engine being exploded did not help one bit. When (Y/n) fully regained consciousness her eyes were greeted by a massive crab. Which turned out to be regular size but really close to her eyes. (Y/n) had washed up on an island somehow and it seemed Poseidon was rather forgiving as she still had the bronze axe at her hip. With only a few minutes of careful traversal of the island, which turned out to be home to an amazing assortment of flora and some truly remarkable flesh-eating sheep, (Y/n) found herself entombed in the lair of a great cyclops after the monster had unknowingly sealed her inside with a large rock. It was here that she was reunited with Selina, Grover (Who was in a wedding dress) and Clarisse who was also in a wedding dress. And so, after several length conversations, and some comments on how slimming the dress made Grover look, Percy and Annabeth both made their way inside the cave. And after one last eye stab at the giant cyclops six of them made their way to the Golden Fleece. But not before Polyphemus caught up with them. Who knew massive creatures moved so fast? He reached for Selina first, grabbing her with the intent to devour the helpless girl. However, this is where (Y/n) showed the world, what a daughter of Kratos could do.Wielding the Celestial Bronze axe with deadly precision, (Y/N)’s first strike to Polyphemus’ knee brought the giant to its knees with a great bellowing cry. His hand relaxed as Selina dropped safely to the ground but (Y/n) was not done. As Polyphemus fell to one knee in pain, the woman grabbed one of his elongated teeth, pulled down before sending a punch with rocketing force against his skull sending the cyclops crashing to the ground as he screamed and bellowed in pain. But the monster was not done. Roaring with injured pride, he stood to his full terrifying height, raising a boulder, similar to the door to his house, and blinked his eye in pain as he raised the massive stone over his head. With a dragon’s roar of her own, (Y/n) launched of Polyphemus’ knee sending herself flying high. She stabbed her axe into the stone, the material cutting through rock like a hard-driven chisel. Before (Y/n) brought the boulder crashing down, with the aid of gravity behind her godly strength. The rock instantly slammed into Polyphemus, his body crashing down as the boulder rocketed into his skull with a sickening crack. And yet, (Y/n) was not finished. She wanted a trophy. And it took three whacks from her axe, before Polyphemus was decapitated. Before the return to camp, the five heroes now accompanied by Tyson had been cornered by Luke and his goons at the local Airport. Monsters ranging from giants to Telekhines grumbled and hollered as (Y/n), Percy and Clarisse stood protectively between the monsters and their friends Annabeth and Selina. “It’s over Jackson. Just hand over the Fleece and we’ll let you and your girlfriends go.” Luke’s irritating voice caused the monsters to form a somewhat chorus of what (Y/n) assumed were laughs.“Not gonna happen Luke, you poisoned Thalia’s tree. She was your friend and you’re killing all that’s left of her!” Percy’s argument was punctuated as he uncapped Riptide, the bronze double-edged sword springing into action.“Thalia would understand what I am doing!” Luke’s anger, no his rage, was easily apparent as his once calm exterior was replaced with a shouting fury. “Just like the many other demigods, abused by their parents, forgotten or distrusted by the Olympians… This is your chance to join us Percy, (Y/n), Annabeth… Kronos will forgive you if you join our cause.” As Luke held out his hand, his smile returned. “Leave now and I will not have to take that hand back to camp as a trophy.” (Y/n) threatened, moving her body in such a way that the monsters and Luke had a clear view of the cyclops head, tied by ropes with hooks in its eyes and open mouth, to (Y/n)’s hip. A few of the monsters, including many of the Cyclops kin, backed away in fear at the sight of their fallen brother. Luke’s scowl returned for a brief moment. “Very well, then you will die.” “And you shall become the dirt I walk on.” (Y/n) exclaimed, taking the Fleece from Clarisse and handing it to Percy. “You three, get on the plane back to camp. Clarisse with me.” Percy opened his mouth to argue but thankfully it appeared Annabeth was more attuned to (Y/n)’s anger as she grabbed Percy’s arm and with Selina hurried past the gate and onto the plane. As the monsters began charging forward in the carpark of the airport, (Y/n) readied her axe while Clarisse readied her spear and shield. “Listen to me, I’ll run distraction. You get a ride home, otherwise we are dead.” Nodding at the plan, Clarisse’s eyes darted to the many unattended vehicles around them. Then, the monsters reach them. And (Y/n) became a monster. Her axe flowed like water, never stopping, slashing and curving through the air with swift, fatal precision. One slice to a Dracaena’s chest flowed into a decapitation of a centaur. Eventually, once (Y/n) was covered in golden monster dust yet still many more surged forwards, Clarisse called out to (Y/n). Waving her hand from the window of a pickup truck. “Stop them!” Luke’s command shouted over the airport as (Y/n) rushed towards the vehicle as Clarisse started slowly driving towards the exit. In the sky, (Y/n) could make out the faint shape of a plane, flying through the air. With the monsters hot on her tail, (Y/n) leaped into the bed of the truck and closed the hatch. Hearing sounds of metal arrows scraping against the lid above her. Only when these sounds stopped did she open the hatch and took a good look at herself. Dozens of cuts crossed over her body and (Y/n) sighed as she slung off her bag, the monstrous head of Polyphemus thudding into the truck, and took a water-skin and washed as much of the monster dust away from her cuts as possible. When (Y/n) and Clarisse arrived back at camp, now with a new ride, Chiron was there to greet them. Below Thalia’s tree, where upon the lowest branch rested in a warm golden radiance, the Golden Fleece. “Welcome back heroes.” Chiron greeted them with open arms, his hooves skittering side to side, a trait of anxiety among centaurs. “Perseus, Annabeth and Selina told me of your quest. But something else has come up.” Ready once more, for battle despite still being covered with golden dust, (Y/n) and Clarisse jumped from the truck, weapons at the ready. “What is it?” Clarisse asked with steel in her voice, probably upset she had not been given the chance to kill Polyphemus or Luke. Chiron for his part, looked down towards camp.“It is best if I were to show you.” He said, with a gesture of palms down. At this, Clarisse and (Y/n) lowered their weapons.Chiron took the pair to the great house, where they found Annabeth talking with a particularly attractive young woman. “Who’s this?” (Y/n) asked, knowing that she knew all the current campers.“I’m Thalia… Daughter of Zeus.” And that was enough to make (Y/n) raise an eyebrow. “Huh, now that is interesting indeed.”Since that day, (Y/n) became Thalia’s rehabilitation coach and weapon’s tutor. Chiron being able to take care of her other duties. It had been rather difficult, Thalia’s personality and want to be good at everything naturally had slowed the progress. At first Thalia’s ability to even walk was hampered. Yet now, here (Y/n) was preparing Thalia and Annabeth for a quest to save Grover and a couple new demigods. “Spear?” (Y/n) asked“Check.” Was Thalia’s reply as the pair listed off the needed items in the Zeus cabin.“Aegis?”“On my wrist” Thalia held up the enchanted watch. “Food and water?”“Check and checkers” At this (Y/n) raised a brow in question. “Oh, lighten up.”“Spare clothes?” sighing Thalia continued, stuffing the items into a duffle bag.” “Check”“Nectar and Ambrosia because Percy will most likely do something stupid?”“Chec… Did… Did you just make a joke?” Thalia questioned with wide eyes and a smile, but (Y/n) was already walking away. “I have been known to make them yes,” she smirked “now hurry up. It sounds like Percy and his mum are here.”It was an incredible sight, to witness the sun crashing into Camp Half-Blood’s lake. And (Y/n) could not stop herself from laughing loudly as Thalia Grace, Percy Jackson and the Hunters crawled from the wreckage along with Apollo. “Who was driving?” (Y/n) asked Percy who seemed rather down in the dumps. “Thalia.” Was his only reply before he clutched a hat in his hands before running off to the Big House. Looking back, (Y/n) understood why. Annabeth was not here. Thalia had also avoided her, heading straight to the Zeus Cabin. So (Y/n) stopped the one other person she knew personally. Zoë Nightshade. The obsidian eyed girl eyed her curiously.“Daughter of Kratos, what does thee want?” The silver tiara on her hair shone brightly in the sunlight.“What happened to Annabeth, daughter of Athena?” she asked, forgoing the broken American accent for her far scarier and intimidating natural Russian.“She fell off a cliff, My Lady Artemis says she was captured by the enemy.” This surprised (Y/n) yet the girl did not let it show. Her dark expression worsened as she nodded.“Interesting.”The next stage of interaction between Zoë and (Y/n) came during Capture the Flag. Percy had abandoned his post as flag guard, Thalia was nowhere in sight. And (Y/n) had an arrow notched and aimed at Zoë who also had one aimed at (Y/n). Tied around Zoë’s waist was the camper’s flag. The half way point just behind (Y/n). “You should give up now, Nightshade. Save yourself from the embarrassment.” Taunted the daughter of Kratos. The huntress laughed.“I could say the same thing.” And at once, the two arrows were released, flying through the air. (Y/n)’s narrowly grazing Zoë’s shoulder while Zoë’s arrow found purchase in (Y/n)’s thigh. The daughter of war, gritted her teeth harshly out of pain. The blunt arrow did not do much damage, considerably less than a sharp one, but still a painful bruise would follow in the morning. At this, (Y/n) quickly notched another arrow as she rushed forward letting it fly as Zoë did the same. But this time, (Y/n) dove to the ground as she shot, fully catching Zoë’s knee below the blow of her blunt arrow while Zoë’s second shot whizzed past her ear. Ditching her bow as Zoë howled in pain, (Y/n) reached Zoë with her practice axe. Dulled but still damaging. The first swing was similar to an uppercut, which Zoë dodged with a backwards aerial cartwheel while she drew her daggers. The silver blades glowing dangerously in the sunlight.Within moments two daggers struggled to push back against the heavy hitting axe. Despite the blessing of Artemis, Zoë still paled in comparison to (Y/n) in strength. Their fight lasted thirty-five minutes, Chiron counted, going back and forth. Each combatant was evenly matched in skill, Zoë had the upper hand in speed and (Y/n) was in a whole different league of strength. When one would hit the other, it was never a fatal wound, each fighter knowing how to leave damage and not a corpse. Until finally, Zoë managed to perfectly parry (Y/n)’s strike with one dagger and sent a crippling fist to the top of (Y/n)’s knee. The Russian roared in pain before grabbing Zoë’s waist and suplexed the huntress over her shoulder. Both women groaned in pain as Zoë’s hips crashed against a fallen log. They rolled around on the ground, nursing their wounds and it was then that (Y/n) noticed that Zoë no longer had the flag. “When did you trade the flag?” (Y/n) moaned in pain, her head coming to a stop next to Zoë’s despite her legs pointing the opposite direction to Zoë.“Right after thee punched my eye.” The two women shared a laugh, simply laying there staring at the sky until the clopping sounds of an approaching centaur reached their ears. Chiron looked over them with a smile.“Need a hand?” he asked, giving them both some ambrosia.“Need a stiff drink is what I need.” (Y/n) admitted, standing up and eating the square. Immediately happy memories flooded her body, spreading warmth through her system. Zoë too sat up, eating her own ambrosia.“Is thou even of drinking age?” (Y/n) said nothing but laughed as Chiron looked on with a shake of his head. However, before either could speak more, a loud thunderous crack echoed from the creek. The trio rushed over and saw a truly dangerous sight. Thalia, with lightning crackling over her body, spear at the ready, stood facing Percy Jackson who willed the water of the creek to surround himself. “They’ll destroy camp if we do not stop this!” Chiron shouted over the raging storm. Thinking on instinct, (Y/n) rushed forward as Thalia and Percy closed the distance between themselves, their powers soaring to new heights. As the children raised their fists to strike each other, (Y/n) stepped in between the pair and caught the raised fists. (Y/n) almost felt her body go limp after taking the full force of Thalia and Percy at the same time but still managed to stand. Her body smoking, her eyes flashing with anger. Her hands crushing Percy and Thalia’s underneath her own, with a simple twist (Y/n) forced them both to a kneeling position.“Do not. Put the camp in danger. Again.” She spoke slowly, yet her voice held clear anger and rage as her eyes glared at the two demigods before her. Thalia and Percy, wisely nodded in agreement.“I’ll take Phoebe, Bianca, (Y/n) and Thalia then, if they agree.” Zoë spoke in a commanding tone, the daughter of Kratos was not so sure on the choice of the still unclaimed girl for the quest to save Artemis, but said nothing. Only nodding in response to Zoë’s question. “Hang on, I want to go!” Percy interrupted much to Zoë’s annoyance.“Typical male, wanting to get more glory than he has earned.” She hissed, sending the son of Poseidon a glare. (Y/n) offered the Jackson child no aid, especially after her hand, the one who had stopped Thalia’s attack, was still healing its nerve damage. Percy said nothing more on the subject and the ping pong table room was silent before Selina broke it with an awkward cough. “Well, that went well.” She tried to break the tension, but Zoë had already stormed out.(Y/n) of course, knew it was an awful idea, to bring Bianca Di-Angelo on such a dangerous quest. And now, as (Y/n) carried Zoë piggy back away from the remains of the prototype Talos she was more aware of that fact. She had tried so hard to save everyone. Even going so far as to match the robot in strength when the two clashed punches, but all for naught. Zoë had taken damage in her legs and so for the time being was unable to walk. And as the only one still in reliable mindset, (Y/n) became the new temporary leader. Turning back to Thalia and Percy, who had joined them when they were gathered at the Smithsonian, she called out to them. “Step it up you two. Keep pushing forward.” The two demigods stayed silent, but indeed quickened their pace.“How can thee be so calm in this situation?” Zoë asked quietly over her shoulder, “Each time one of my sisters dies, I am paralysed with grief.” Scowling at the horizon (Y/n) answered carefully.“Because if we do not continue, who shall?”When they reached the summit of mount Oryths, Thalia had fought off Luke, Percy had backed her up by taking care of the monsters and watching over Annabeth while Zoë and (Y/n) fought the Titan Atlas himself. But quickly, (Y/n) realised they were outmatched. Despite his curse lasting so long, Zoë and (Y/n) still lacked the skill and power to deal with such a threat. In the end, it was (Y/n) who took the burden of the sky.“Do not be stupid daughter of Kratos. You will die if you alone bear its weight.” Artemis had warned her. But (Y/n) did not pay it any mind as she shuffled beside the burdened goddess. The cool feeling of the sky rippled under her touch yet felt solid. Like feeling a rock just below the surface of the water.“Do not doubt the strength of my blood.” (Y/n) hissed angrily, perhaps more than she should have, “Zoë and the others will die if you do not aid them!” And before the Olympian could argue further, (Y/n) shoved her away and bore the weight of the sky by herself.Immediately her muscles started churning, acting akin to the machine of a warship. Holding the Sky aloft, away from the ground with a roar of defiance. Through red vision as blood coursed rapidly through her body, (Y/n) could make out the silver flashes of Artemis changing from a bestial form to her godly self, chaining together attacks of claw and dagger. Yet while she drove Atlas back, he was not defeated. (Y/n) saw him stab Zoë, watched her go down. And with a roar that shook even the heavens she held, (Y/n) lifted the sky with a guttural heave. However, as she did so her eyes flashed white. No longer was she at Mount Oryths, there was no Artemis, or Atlas or anyone. There was however, an army of monsters hundreds even thousands strong. “Ready your weapons!” there was a strong female voice that echoed over where (Y/n) found herself. Turning around (Y/n) saw a beautiful Latina woman, dressed in stunning gilded armour with a billowing purple cape flowing in the wind behind her. She lifted a golden sword towards the monsters, behind her an army of equal size roared in agreement. “Charge!” Then as suddenly as the vision appeared, it vanished. (Y/n) realised she was holding the sky with only one arm and moved her free hand down, scooped up her axe and slashed at Atlas’ ankle causing the Titan to fall. Seconds after that Atlas’ body slammed into (Y/n)’s, and as drops of blood seeped from her nose. She scowled at Atlas as she picked up her axe from between his feet. His cries of pain and sorrow falling of deaf ears.“Be glad I do not cut out your throat and devour it, Titan.” She hissed before turning away.Afterwards, (Y/n) found herself once more standing before the Olympian council. Zoë’s constellation shining in the night sky. “I will not have them killed, I will have them rewarded!” Shouted Artemis at her family members. “Chill out lil sis.” Apollo commented, his hands busy with a Rubik’s cube.“I will not chill out, little brother. These heroes risked life and death to save me, young (Y/n) even held aloft the sky!”“Yet there is no denying that Thalia and the Sea Spawn can be tempted to slay the Ophiotaurus and join Kronos.” Athena interjected“Mother!” Annabeth cried in shock“I will not have my daughter killed!” Zeus bellowed,“Nor my son!” Poseidon roared at his immortal rival.“Oh, and what about the other one, ‘she who held the sky’” Dionysus questioned “Shall we get rid of her too?” At this, (Y/n) finally saw some emotion out of her father. The first time she had heard him speak while she was in the same room. “If you kill her, I shall personally see to it that your throne is filled by someone more deserving, drunkard.” His voice was deep. And it surprised (Y/n) who had heard it before. Even the other gods could feel the power of his voice yet it seemed that only Athena, Zeus and Hades did not shiver even slightly.“Right then.” The wine god mumbled ashamed. Clearing her throat, Artemis spoke again.“With the honourable death of my Lieutenant, who I am sure will be given Elysium…” She started looking pointedly at Hades who sat unmoving in his deck chair before nodding in a bored tone. “The position needs to be filled. Thalia Grace, my Half Sister… Are you up to the challenge?”The room seemed to hold a collective breath. Everyone looked to Thalia who undoubtedly could feel the pressure on her. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at Artemis and spoke.“I am sorry, but someone has to make sure Fish Breath here survives.” Poseidon looked pointedly happy at that answer while Zeus looked at his daughter with a raised brow. Nodding in understanding, Artemis turned her gaze to the next in line.“I expected as much. (Y/n), daughter of Kratos. In many ways you were Zoë’s equal. I know that she would be grateful if you were to take her place... This will be the second time I have asked you to join my hunt, there will not be a third time.” Lieutenant of the hunt. The power and position were tempting. Yet as (Y/n) glanced over at Thalia, who gazed longingly, almost pleadingly, she knew her answer. “I’m afraid I must decline… Although I do endorse Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena.” Athena beamed at her daughter when these words were spoken. Artemis looked slightly annoyed at this proclamation but nonetheless turned to the learned woman.“And I would be a fool to refuse such an endorsement.” Artemis stated. “Annabeth Chase, will you take the honour of being my second in command?” And with happiness on her face, Annabeth nodded in joy.“Yes, My Lady. I shall serve you well.”“So, what was real reason for you to decline Artemis?” (Y/n) asked Thalia as the pair of them sat on Camp Half-Blood beach. Alone, but together. Thalia looked out over the lake with a smile, the ship (Y/n) had taken to retrieve the Golden Fleece was moored just off shore.“Well, apparently there’s this stupid rule about not falling in love.” “Thalia Grace? The hardass punk rocker, wants love?” both girls laughed at this.“Shut up, like you haven’t wanted it before.” Thalia curled her legs to her chest and wrapped her arms around her knees. “Just want to look after someone close, and vice versa… ya know?” (Y/n) shuffled closer, their hips touching.“I do…” Their eyes locked. And before either knew it, their heads were inching closer until finally. Their lips touched and they shared a kiss. The days following the kiss was awkward. Thalia and (Y/n) rarely interacted, each one too embarrassed to initiate a conversation with the other. And (Y/n) was thankful of Quintus for taking over her responsibilities as Combat Instructor. (Y/n) left in the winter, grateful for the quest issued by Chiron to help find more demigods before Luke did. In half a year the daughter of Kratos managed to find seventeen demigods including a son of Apollo and daughter of Hermes. Come middle of summer, (Y/n) once again found herself back at Camp Half-Blood after being recalled by a very disturbing order from Chiron through an Iris Message. When she arrived late that night, she realised the cause for it. They were burning Percy’s shroud. Thalia Grace was crying at the altar, consoled by Chiron until (Y/n) walked up. She placed a hand on Thalia’s shoulder, the younger girl looking at (Y/n) before crying into her shoulder as (Y/n) brought the girl into a hug. As the flames climbed higher the unthinkable happened. Percy walked over from the beach. “Hey guys, what’s up?” he questioned with a joking expression. There was silence for a moment before Thalia wriggled out of (Y/n)’s hold and slapped Percy across his face with an electric palm.“What the Hades you idiot!” she screamed in his face causing Chiron and (Y/n) to laugh.Rather quickly (Y/n) was told about the Labyrinth and its quest. Thalia was the one who was given the quest and asked if (Y/n) would join them. Sadly, she shook her head. “The quest members were already chosen, find Grover and Tyson again. I suspect they are close to their own goals.” That was the end of that conversation. But (Y/n) did not miss the accusing stares from Thalia. But when (Y/n) looked at Thalia, the image of the Latina woman in golden armour and purple cape flashed in her mind. And (Y/n) apologised. She apologised for her kisses, but thanked Thalia for them. Thalia was understandably mad, but (Y/n) could only hope she came around.Days later, monsters erupted from the entrance to the Labyrinth. And (Y/n) fought like a demon. Slashing down monsters left and right. That was until Kampê burst from the cave. Instantly she killed almost a dozen demigods underneath her very feet. Thankfully to her rescue, came one of the three Hekatonkheires; Briares. Who fearlessly did battle with his captor killing her as he held the monster down allowing (Y/n) the chance to decapitate the monster. “Your head will look great next to Polyphemus.” (Y/n) sneered as she detached the head from Kampê’s body. That night the campers celebrated like never before as news of Pan spread however there was a slight sombre atmosphere around, yet as the Labyrinth collapsed it was impossible not to feel a sense of accomplishment.Yet as it neared Percy Jackson’s birthday who apparently was months older than Thalia somehow, through some godly magic, tension was far more apparent in the air. It did not help when Percy returned to camp, after destroying Luke’s cruise ship with news of Beckendorf’s death. Thalia however, was there to console the boy after he read out loud the great prophecy. Now twenty-one years of age, (Y/n) sat with Chiron in the big house. Talking over battle preparations for the war to come. “The gods will not be able to help. The minor gods will back whoever wins… The Olympians are busy with Typhoon.” Chiron stated as he and (Y/n) looked over a map of New York.“Let me guess, Party Ponies?” (Y/n) asked with a tight-lipped smile. Chiron nodded.“Yes, though it will take some time to round up all the chapters.”“I talked to Annabeth, the hunters will be arriving soon, apparently they’re activating all the automatons in New York before coming here. Don’t worry I’ll keep the campers in line.” Chiron once again nodded, this time with appreciation.“I have not yet heard word from Grover or the Nature Spirits he asked help from.” A troubled hum came from (Y/n) at this news.“The Deimos children are refusing to fight. But I should be able to… encourage my nieces and nephews into fighting.”“This battle will be costly, I wish you well (Y/n)… Percy will command the campers, but you must command the fight.”And command the fight she did. When (Y/n) ran from the Empire State building lobby to see her friend Selina being eaten in half by a Drakon she lost herself. The lifeless torso of her great friend fell to the street with a thud and a splatter of blood. All around her, hunters, demigods alike continued to press the attack away from the Drakon as a circle of fire started blazing around (Y/n)’s feet. Falling to her hands and knees, (Y/n) looked at Selina’s corpse through blurry eyes as tears fell to the ground. A voice spoke to her, inside her head as a searing hot pain wrapped around her forearms. “Against all the nightmares Tartarus could conjure, all the wickedness mankind could produce. You shall be the one to slay them all. Rip and Tear, until it is done.” The voice was angry, hateful, guttural. “Leave no life untouched.”Rearing her heads upwards towards the snake like monster. Standing to her feet, the earth cracked and splintered around (Y/n). With a roar that shattered the earth, the very street (Y/n) stood on erupted into a shower of shrapnel and fragments of cement. Fire exploded from these cracks and white-hot chains flew from earthen imprisonment. Vicious blades whipped into (Y/n)’s hands, flames danced along the blades and chains yet (Y/n) felt no pain. The Blades of Chaos, the cursed weapons of Ares, had been released. The rest of the fight was a blur. Apparently (Y/n) had somehow managed to snap the Drakon in half, stabbed Perses with his own spear and decimated the Titan army in Lincoln Tunnel. In fact, Annabeth who was leading the charge at the tunnel had said that the monsters in the army turned and ran away from the blazing inferno that was the whirlwind of dancing blades, (Y/n) the Daughter of Kratos. And as Perseus, Thalia, Annabeth and Grover followed Kronos up the elevator, (Y/n) rushed forward. The storm that was Typhoon was nearing. Arms that seemed to reach the horizons, serpent legs and one hundred dragon heads along those gigantic arms. Swinging with the chains of her new blades, (Y/n) made her way to the rooftops of the buildings looking over the Hudson. As Typhoon stepped over the river, Zeus slammed a bolt into the chest of the Father of Monsters, true the beast stepped back. But did not step into the water. The river bubbled and (Y/n) could see the cyclopses of Poseidon waiting below the surface and she understood the plan. The climb up Typhoon was made a breeze with the chains and blades, using the momentum (Y/n) was able to swing to Typhoon’s head where she began impaling the blades into Typhoon’s eyes. He roared in pain, bringing his great arm up to swat her away. With a flick of her arms, (Y/n) sunk the Blades of Chaos into Typhoon’s palm and swung around to the back of his hand where she was scooped up into a chariot pulled by flying boars. Beside her was her father, Kratos who looked at her with a questioning glare.“Poseidon awaits!” (Y/n) shouted, pointing at the river. Kratos nodded but was cautious of the chains burned into (Y/n)’s forearms.(Y/n), feeling on top of the world at the moment as she rode in her father’s chariot, watched as her father drew an impressively designed axe with a wooden handle engraved with mysterious designs and two gemstones were embedded into the wooden staff. They flew in close to the great beast and as they did, Kratos bellowed to the other gods (Y/n) could only now see. “Artemis, Apollo!” the twin archers flanked Kratos and his daughter, shooting arrows at the dragon heads that opened their maws, fires billowing in their throats. Father and daughter leapt onto Typhoons shoulders, stabbing and slashing at Typhoon’s neck and eyes. Sadly, Kratos was sent flying to the ground as a large hand caught him before he could maneuverer out of the way.“We must push him back!” Zeus’ voice bellowed over the sky as lightning struck Typhoon in the chest. Looking around, realising her attacks were not working, (Y/n) saw Poseidon on the beaches of the Hudson looking up at Typhoon with worry. Tightening her grip on the Chains, (Y/n) sunk a blade into Typhoon’s neck before turning to Poseidon.“Sea god!” she roared catching Poseidon’s attention, she launched the other blade at the Olympian, slamming it into the ground by his feet. As the chain extended, (Y/n) felt the burning sensation increase, as if her very intestines were being pulled from her arm. Luckily, Poseidon understood the idea as he grabbed the other end of the chain and started heaving. Immediately Typhoon stopped moving as Poseidon dug his feet in.(Y/n) howled in pain as she became a link between two sets of chains. Thankfully Zeus rushed to the side of Poseidon as Hades himself too morphed into existence from the shadows. Together the three sons of Kronos and Rhea pulled on the chains and Typhoon fell into the Hudson where Typhoon was wrapped in chains of water and beaten by an army of cyclopses. It was then that (Y/n) blacked out. When she regained consciousness, she was seated beside her father on his Throne of Power in the Olympian Throne room. The cool grey chains of the Blades of Chaos still wrapped around her arms, though the blades themselves had vanished. “My daughter awakens, it is time for her wish.” Kratos bellowed, all gods looked to (Y/n) who stared back in confusion. Thankfully as Kratos placed his daughter beside Thalia and Percy who explained the situation.“My wish?” (Y/n) questioned, holding her shoulder which she now realised had been dislocated when three gods had been pulling on her arm. “Why do I get one?”“Any demigod strong enough to wrestle Typhoon, Brave enough to stab his eyes, deserves a reward as great as Godhood.” Zeus explained. The room was silent.“Godhood?” (Y/n) asked “I could be a god…”“A very dumb goddess apparently but yes… You would serve your father as his immortal Lieutenant.”Looking back, (Y/n) saw Thalia and Percy holding hands. And at once she understood the situation. She turned back to Zeus with every intention of saying yes, she would love nothing more than godhood. It was her dream, her every desire to serve her father. Yet as her eyes glanced over Aphrodite, she was met with the depiction of that Latina woman with gold armour and a purple cape, before she shifted back into a pale skinned, red haired woman and winked at (Y/n).That stumped (Y/n). It took five minutes for her to decide. “I apologise, but I must decline. I feel as if there is more I can do as a mortal.” Aphrodite smiled and nodded but Zeus raised a brow. “Two Demigods offered Godhood and both refused. I will never understand this generation.” He groaned to himself, “Very well. What is your wish?”Humming in thought, (Y/n) thought for a moment before replying. “My wish, well I guess I don’t have one at the moment. Mind if I hold onto it for the moment?” That seemed to anger Zeus, but he calmed down and nodded. Afterwards, the Olympian party was thrown immediately. However, before she left Olympus, Kratos pulled her aside. “There is a rite of passage I ask of my children, starting with you. My first child since godhood.” He started, before pointing at his red markings. “These were markings of my brother, they are important and hold values unopposed to us. I would be honoured, if you would carry my brother’s legacy.”Swallowing her astonishment, (Y/n) nodded, her bronze eyes shimmering with pride. At that memory, the twenty-one-year-old demigod daughter of Kratos touched the markings that were identical in placement and colour of her fathers. A smile on her face. Of course, after that he had expressed his pride in her and his worry in her new weapons. And so, (Y/n) looked to the Huntress Constellation and thought about the one oddity in her life. The beautiful woman in golden armour and a purple cape. And closed her eyes. When (Y/n) opened her eyes however, she came face to face with the snarling face of a she-wolf. “Pick up your axe demigod, your training starts now!” her growl penetrated her skull shaking her core as she stood weapon at the ready. “Welcome to the Wolf House pup, my name is Lupa and I will train you to become a ruler.”
